RSVSR What Black Ops 7 Gets Right in Season 3 Reloaded

If you're like most of us waiting for the next big shooter, you've probably got November 14, 2025, circled on your calendar. That's when Black Ops 7 finally drops on PS4 and PS5, and it's looking like a massive shift for the series. The game's set in 2035, focusing on a world where fear itself has been weaponized. If you're planning to dive in early and want a head start on those weapon camos or just a place to practice your movement, jumping into a CoD BO7 Bot Lobby is a great way to get a feel for the new mechanics without the sweat of public matches. It's a cross-gen release, so you won't need a new console to play with your friends, though the PS5 version definitely packs some extra punch with those DualSense triggers.

Campaign and the New Movement System

The single-player side isn't just a lonely trek through a scripted movie this time. You can actually grab your squad and run the whole campaign in co-op, which is a huge win for people who hate playing solo. The story follows David Mason and Raul Menendez in a hallucination-heavy plot that takes you from Japan to the Mediterranean coast. But the real talk is about the movement. Omnimovement is back, and they've added wall jumps on specific surfaces to keep things vertical. Interestingly, they've pulled Tactical Sprint out of the base movement kit. Now, you've gotta use specific perks if you want that extra burst of speed. It's a big change that'll definitely alter how you approach a gunfight or push an objective.

Multiplayer Maps and the Prestige Grind

At launch, we're getting 16 core 6v6 maps and two massive 20v20 maps. The variety seems solid, ranging from futuristic cityscapes to some pretty bleak, cold-weather battlegrounds. If you're a grinder, you'll be happy to know the classic Prestige system is back. Once you hit level 55, you can reset and start the climb again, but they've added a Permanent Unlock Token to help you keep your favorite gear. They've even added Weapon Prestige this time around, so there's always a reason to keep using your favorite rifle. It's that old-school loop we all love, just polished up with some 2035 tech and better customization options for your loadouts.

Round Based Zombies and Seasonal Updates

Treyarch is going back to their roots with round-based Zombies, and honestly, it's exactly what the community's been asking for. You've got your Perk-a-Colas, GobbleGums, and the Dark Aether story moving forward. If you're keeping an eye on the Season 3 Reloaded updates, you'll see new stuff like the Ashwood survival map and a bunch of weekly challenges. They've also added a "Cursed" mode for players who think the base game is too easy. It's way more punishing and feels like those older, tougher maps from back in the day. Between the main quests and the new Augment system for your perks, there's a ton of depth to explore here.

The New Endgame and Getting Geared Up

One of the weirdest but coolest additions is the Endgame mode. It's a 32-player objective-based format in Avalon where you bring in your own custom loadout and try to survive. It's high stakes because death can actually cost you your gear, making it feel a bit like an extraction shooter. Since the grind for top-tier gear and camos can be pretty intense, many players head over to RSVSR to pick up extra currency or rare items to stay ahead of the competition. It's a solid way to skip the boring parts of the grind so you can just focus on the new maps and abilities. Whether you're hunting for a Mastercraft weapon or just trying to survive a high-round Zombies run, having a well-stocked account makes the whole experience a lot smoother.
