PCeU detectives worked closely with JAGEX

RS3 gold players' accounts were stolen through phishing sites, which duped unsuspecting players into providing their game logon credentials. "Account theft and using phishing websites is an issue facing the whole online games sector and Jagex maintains a professional team to combat any law breaking inside our matches" explained Mark Gerhard, Jagex CEO. "Where there's any evidence to indicate someone has committed a crime, as is obviously true for any phishing or hijacking, we work closely with law enforcement agencies around the world to attract these individuals to account."

"Our first and only concern is protecting our player community as we understand the top players put on their unique accounts" lasted Gerhard. "Players invest years of effort and time in developing their RuneScape character so the theft of a RuneScape account should not be treated differently to the theft of any other valuable possessions such as a games console, television or car. I'd love to extend my sincerest appreciation to the professional and hard-working people at the PCeU along with the FBI, that are helping us with similar actions in the USA."

"A 23 year old man was arrested in Avon & Somerset on the afternoon of Tues 24th Nov by officials from the Police Central e-crime Unit, following an allegation that a number of RuneScape gaming accounts had been murdered and misappropriated" stated a PCeU Spokesperson.

After the discovery of this compromise, PCeU detectives worked closely with JAGEX and through this collaboration the necessary evidence was procured to make certain that an early arrest may be made.

"Individuals who attempt to destroy others online gaming experience may be committing criminal offences, leaving themselves liable to prosecution" continued the PCeU Spokesperson. "The PCeU will keep working with the business and explore these allegations where proper."

GDN applauds the men and women of the PCeU along with the commitment of Jagex to help keep the match experience for all its legal users. If only all companies were focused. But we know it takes a great deal of resources and time to pursue such a case and it is generally far simpler to just let it slide. Perhaps this will stand as a good illustration of what can be achieved when the game manufacturer seriously believes buy OSRS gold. After spending 1 hour of trying to cover a membership for my sister, I'm tired.
